WordExam, is designed to build vocabulary power for students, adults, professionals, test takers. Increasing vocabulary knowledge is one of the toughest, time-consuming and many times boring part of learning a language. WordExam, aims for you to learn more words faster in an entertaining and long-lasting way. With less than hour a day, you will be able to oberve noteworthy developments in a month.
How does the system work?
WordExam uses a built in software that tracks your progress from day one. WordExam aims to provide you with short 3, 5, 10, 12 or 15 question exam sets, specialized for your educational background or purpose of studying English. The results of all the tests you have done from the beginning will be recorded for your reference. You can always check your history and compare your progress on your own. Words that you have trouble learning will not be discarded, but rather will be kept and asked on the later exams. Our system will allow you to pass the set of words you failed to learn in the past, if you successfully answer them right three times in the future exams. This way you'll be sure that you have full command over any word.
There are multiple sections to the WordExam system, how do I determine which section is best for me or my student?
Because every individual has different motives and challenges with English vocabulary, we have designed the WordExam tests according to these specific needs and demands. Anyone can sign-in to the the section that fits them most. Since the test questions of each section are organized differently, it is imperative that you chose the right program and take the tests.
Can I change my section for a different section?
Yes, switching between sections is easy. If you feel like you have accomplished your target in one section and have desire to improve yourself for another aim, then you can move on to another sections and start your progress right away.
How many words are there in the system?
WordExam database inclues 3,500 words currently and increasing. You will be able to get the dictionary explanation of any word in your local language as well once you specify a dictionary source of your own choice when you are sign-up to the website.
Does WordExam prepare you for official tests like TOEFL, GRE, SAT?
Yes, WordExam is a general test program which will help test takers in the preparing for both university and goverment entrance exams. WordExam vocabulary tests are designed to boost your performance in official tests in short time.
Can I go on for a trial session?
Absolutely yes. The only thing you need to do is to click on “Demo” link after you sign-up. You will be given full access to the system and some trial exams which you can back to chekc your progress and history.
What kind of exam types do you have?
Our system uses 10 question exam sets to that have mutiple choice answers. You are asked to find the word that best explains the word asked in the question. We are also planning to incorporate synonym, antonym and flash card type questions in the future.
Can anyone else use my password information to login?
Technically yes. You can let as many person to allow them to use your own password but our advice will be that you won't and for a simple reason. Once you login with your password, our software will identify you as the “user”. And as you advance with each exam, questions in the exams will be determined based on your success and failure history. For example, if someone answered positively for a question then that word won't come up in the exams when you're using it and you'll fail to learn.
What is Personal Word List?
WordExam allows users to note words that they have just learned or words that they are having difficulty with learning on a list for future reference. You can think of this as your own notebook of words you are studying in WordExam.
